Kings Road Haul!

Hi Everyone!

Today is Saturday, so I thought what better day to go to Kings Road and do some WINDOW shopping..yeah, that failed. I ended up buying three rather pricey things buy they were t o t a l l y worth it! I don't regret buying them at all, although it might be a different story when my bank statement arrives.. Aaaaanyways, here they are!

The first thing I bought was (can you say PREDICTABLE?!) yet another lipstick, but this one's special as it's from Chanel and it's part of the 'Rouge Coco Shine' collection. The shade is 'Boy' and I'm absolutely thrilled with it! All lipsticks in this collection retail at £23 so you won't break the bank but it is a little bit of an investment. I got mine in Peter Jones, Kings Rd London but see online for alternative stores. :

The lipstick has a gorgeous glossiness to it but is completely smooth and non-sticky. The glitteriness is so subtle in real life that it will just occasionally catch the light..I love it sooo much!

As you can see the lipstick is very sheer, but I wasn't surprised as it was described as such, but from the first picture you can see that the colour pay-off is lovely so I'm really pleased with it.

*Gasps at classic pretty packaging*

The design of the lipstick tip is designed so well, it's practically flat on top to allow for easy, smooth application. Before using this lipstick I use 'Bubble Gum' lip scrub from Lush to make sure my lips are completely smooth, I use it as an alternative to lip primer as I find that smooth lips hold colour really well but each to their own.
My next buy was from Mac, it's the from the 'Prep + Prime' collection. It's my transparent finishing powder, and I bought mine pressed as opposed to in loose powder form as I find it works better for my skin and is more convenient for touch-ups throughout the day. WARNING: This product does not produce any kind of coverage, I use it over foundation to even out my skin tone and de-shine my t-zone. I can't really show you a picture of my skin as the product really is completely sheer but it works magnificently and the packaging is beautiful! It'll set you back £21 but for me it's essential, the product is available online and in Mac stores nationwide. Also, the applicator is sold separately and you can choose between sponge and fabric, sponge works better for me but it depends on your skin type. :

My last product is a very pretty vest I got in the Brora sale, reduced from £32 (ridiculous) to £19 (..a little better). It's very soft, has a gorgeous shape and I just love it so snatch one up while stocks last! Available online and in UK Brora stores. Mine is in the shade of 'Teal' but they have lots of other lovely colours :

I hope you enjoyed this post, do let me know if you've tried/bought any of these products or if there are any products you'd like me to review. Well, that's all for today..

"These are a few of my favourite things..."

Hi Everyone!

So you know those things you just can't live without? Those staples that really make your wardrobe or your makeup routine etc? Well yeah, I got me some a' those so I thought I'd share them with you guys today..here we go!

My first thing is quite a recent purchase, but I really can't live without it! I snagged it in the Kildare Outlet (Ireland) of all places! It retailed originally for £200 and I got it for £60! It's my Anya Hindmarch tote bag. I use it every day as it's one of those bag that can fit everything you need it it without being huge and OTT:

The next favourite is a watch that I was given by my mum, it used to be hers and it's vintage by Ceres of New York. It's so old that I have to wind it up everyday! But it's so classic and pretty that I don't mind at all. If you like this watch then I believe American Apparel sell lovely ones in a similar style. See online or in store for details. :

The third thing is my absolute saviour makeup product. After using Dior Forever foundation for the first time I chucked out all my other foundations and just used this because it's literally amazing! It gives me flawless coverage and is not at all cakey. It's just a life saver! Sadly it's not cheap at £29 but it's definitely a worthwhile investment. Check online for details:

The next is another oldie, my Great Grandmother gave me this brooch so I'm guessing it's around 1940's origin, I wear it with dresses, cardigans and coats..sometimes even on bags as it just adds something pretty to every outfit. It's pearl, silver and I think some kind of mineral..definitely not diamond! *sigh* ;) :

ALMOST THERE my second to last is a pair of very snazzy shoes a bought in Zara, I don't usually shop at Zara but these were just too cool to pass by..they were a little pricey at £40 but we all need a good pair of heels right?? The picture really doesn't do them justice but they look great on! :

Last but not least is something not overly exciting but it's still a great buy. I always seem to make a mess of my wallet, receipts stuffed in here and there and coppers mixed in with all the pound coins (grrr) so I figured if I buy myself the single most sectioned wallet I can find I'll keep it tidy! I bought this purse in the Kath Kidston sale...I know what you're all thinking, middle-aged-woman much?! But trust me it doesn't come with any patterned kitchen-wear/tea-cosy etc. It was reduced from £25 to £10 so I was pretty happy to spot it before it became over-priced again! :

So there we go, "these were a few of my favourite thiiiiings...."
